Bournemouth Borough Council Acquires Roko Bournemouth and PlayFootball Bournemouth

Bournemouth Borough Council has acquired the Roko Bournemouth Health Club and PlayFootball Bournemouth small sided football businesses, formerly owned by The Sports & Leisure Group Ltd.
The speculative approach made by Bournemouth Borough Council to The Sports & Leisure Group over a year ago was made as part of a North Bournemouth Leisure development Strategy.
Sports & Leisure Group CEO Barry Hunter commented:
“Whilst we were not pursuing a sale, the board felt that the speculative approach and offer made by Bournemouth Borough Council was appropriate and acceptable”
